Peeta X Tribute!D 12!Reader: I Survived For You 2

After the reaping, Kat and I were put in a room, waiting for Prim to say goodbye. Then the door flew open, and in came Prim. On instinct, I hugged her, really tight. She had tears in her eyes.

"Don't put your name in anymore, it's not worth taking any risks." I said.

"You can make money by selling milk from your goat." Kat said. After a while, the peacekeepers came to take Prim away. They had to drag her out, with her screaming all the down the hall, until silence. Then, Gale came in, as soon as he did he hugged Kat first, for a LONG time.

"Hello? I'm your best friend too!" 

"Sorry, (Name). How could I forget you?" He said, with a little smile on his face, though I could still see the sadness in his eyes. He gave me a hug as well.

"Listen, both of you, you both know how to hunt." Gale said.

"Animals." Kat and I said.

"Kat, you're very good with bows. (Name), you could use any weapon you want to."

"Thanks, Gale." Kat looked even sadder then she did after Prim had been dragged out. Then peacekeepers came once again, took Gale out the room, leaving Kat and I alone.

Now we were on the train, heading to the capital. Kat and I sat down across from each other, while Peeta, sat next to me, cotton candy lady was next to Kat. The pinkette started talking.

"Well, I'm going to find Haymitch." Then she walked into another train car. All was silent until Peeta asked,

"Have you ever met him? Haymitch?" Kat and I didn't say a word.

"Katniss, (Name) he is our mentor." We both stayed silent.

"Look, if you both don't want to talk I understand, but I don't think there's anything wrong with getting a little bit of help." Then, it clicked, you remembered him...He was the boy who had given Kat and I bread. Sure, it was burnt, but it kept Kat, Prim, Ms.Everdeen, and I alive. (Name)! How could you not remember the person who kept you alive! I was still beating myself up in my head, but then I heard the train door open behind me...
